One of the most common concerns founders have when starting a consulting engagement is time. You are already running a business, managing a team, serving customers, and making decisions at pace. The idea of adding a consulting relationship to that workload sounds like it might create more demands than it solves. That concern is legitimate, and it shapes how we structure the working relationship from the start.
The heaviest demand on your time comes at the beginning of an engagement, and for good reason. Before we can build, recommend, or execute anything, we need to understand your business at a level of depth that cannot come from a brief or an onboarding document. We need to understand your customers as you understand them, your market position as you see it, and the constraints you are operating within. That initial investment of your attention is the foundation for everything that follows.
Once we have that foundation, we move. We produce work, share it for your review, incorporate your feedback, and iterate. Most clients find that the feedback cycles require focused attention for two to four hours per week at most. The reviews are structured and the feedback requests are specific. We do not ask open-ended questions that put the thinking burden back on you. We bring recommendations and ask you to react to them, which is a much lighter cognitive lift.
You will hear from us weekly. Not with status reports that require your response, but with progress updates that keep you informed without demanding your time. If a decision requires your input, we flag it clearly and give you the context you need to make it quickly. We try hard to respect the fact that you have a business to run that exists outside of your relationship with us.
The goal of the entire structure is to make the engagement feel like it is running in the background rather than sitting at the top of your priority list. You hired us so that the digital work gets done well without requiring you to become a digital expert. Your strategic judgment is essential to the engagement. Your calendar availability is not.
